Summer Camp, June 2008 URKA Summer Camp, June 2008, Oak Grove Missouri.
Updated details are in red below... Registrations of interest are being accepted from people who wish to attend Summer Camp in June 2008. Although we haven't made any firm plans as yet, the tentative programme is as follows:
February Update: These dates have been confirmed. Renshi Rickard will not be returning with the group as he has been asked to stay on at HQ for additional private training. Below are a few pointers and some basic information about the trip... At this stage, we estimate the costs to be in the vicinity of $3500NZ plus spending money. This will cover all travel, accommodation, camps fees and meals during our stay at Kaicho's house. Spending money, meals in transit and travel insurance are not included in this price. February Update: Flight prices have dropped back to realistic levels, the price shown above is as accurate as we can estimate at this time. Our travel agent is working out bookings and pricing at the beginning of March. If you haven't registered your interest, please do so immediately. Anyone registering interest will need to have funds available for ticket purchases by the end of April 2008. We will NOT accept any delays or late payments this year. Anyone who intends to travel on to alternate destinations will need to advise us of their plans. Anyone wishing to arrange their own travel must arrive and depart Kansas City on the same dates as the main party. This is to ensure minimal disturbances to Kaicho Amor and his family, as MCI airport is a considerable distance from their home. Anyone unable to arrive in Kansas to coincide with the main groups travel will have to arrange their own transportation from MCI airport to Kaicho's house - This is not a taxi ride you want to pay for! At this stage, no excursions to theme parks or similar sight seeing attractions have been planned. This will be subject to interest and availability. February Update: At this stage, there will still be no trips to theme parks this year. All travellers will need to arrange their own travel insurance and also ensure they have adequate money available during their trip. As governed by US Law, no one under the age of 20 will be permitted to consume any alcohol during the trip. The purpose of the trip is for Karate training. There will be scheduled periods of free time, but the majority of the time will be spent in the Dojo. Sightseeing and travel in Los Angeles will be confirmed closer to the date - these costs have not been included in the estimate pricing given above.
Anyone wishing to attend must have their registration details to Renshi by the end of February. |
