Kaicho Amor Receives Promotion to 7th Dan

During the closing ceremony of the 2007 United Ryukyu Kempo Alliance Summer Camp, Kaicho Amor was honoured by his peers in the Ryukyu Arts and was awarded his 7th Dan by Hanshi Albert O Geraldi, 9th Dan.

Kaicho Amor receives his promotion from Hanshi Geraldi

Mr. Geraldi is one of three people directly responsible for Taika Seiyu Oyata relocating to the US, and for the promotion and development of Ryukyu Kempo Karate in the late 1960's and mid 1970's. Mr. Geraldi, who is based in Florida, is the head of the Zenkoku Ryukyu Kempo Karate Do Renmei.

Hanshi Geraldi recognised Kaicho Amor for his dedication to the development of Ryukyu Kempo and for his achievements in uniting people towards a common cause. During the camp weekend, Hanshi commented several times regarding the congruence and unity which was so apparent between all the practitioners regardless of who they trained with or where they were from.

Renshi Rickard congratulates Kaicho Amor on his promotion while Shihan Richardson looks on.

Kaicho Amor's promotion represents a solid endorsement of the Alliance as a true representation of the teachings of Taika Oyata, and is conclusive proof that the drive of one man towards unity and harmony in the Martial Arts is paying off with enormous dividends.

We are proud to be representing Kaicho Amor and the Untied Ryukyu Kempo Alliance in New Zealand.
