| Guiding Principles The Dojo Kun and Guiding Principles form the basis for practice and training within the United Ryukyu Kempo Alliance. The Guiding Principles used by the United Ryukyu Kempo Alliance originate from Taika Oyata and were written by Tode Sakugawa in Okinawa. Alliance students not only have to learn to recite the Guiding Principles, but have to show an understanding of their meaning as they progress through their grades.
