Curriculum Information This page contains information pertaining to the curriculum being taught in New Zealand. There are also links to PDF files of the grade requirements, kata counts and exercise details. The charts on each page detail the individual curriculum sections and to what stage they are being taught in New Zealand. While most sections are now being taught, some sections are only being taught to Yudansha and other sections have not been released outside the Senior Instruction Group as yet. As new curriculum information is obtained from Headquarters, it is initially taught only to the Senior Instruction Group which comprises our Instructors of Yondan rank and above. Once they have learnt the new information, it is released to the Yudansha group as a whole, this stage ensures that all Black Belts are familiar with new information prior to it being released to the General Students.
Important Note The information presented in these pages is collated by Renshi Rickard. This information has not necessarily been viewed or approved by Kaicho Amor, but is correct to the best of our knowledge.
Important Note to Overseas Instructors and Students URKA (NZ) teaches Exercises 1-10 at different levels than at HQ. We begin with Exercise 1 at 9th Kyu. Because of this, our Grade Charts are different than those appearing in the HQ Student Workbooks.
